Salvation is the application of the work of Christ to the life of an individual.
Outside of the Covering of Christ (Grace) we are vulnerable and helpless.
Christ come to us as the Gift of God, for it was God's desire that we should not perish, but embrace eternal life. Christ is the Light of the World.
sin is a broken relationship with God
relationship between man and God is vital---- Jesus Christ is the only way to a Restored relationship with God the Father.
(II) The very nature of the person is spoiled as a result of deviation from the Law.--- corruption.
(III) Aspects of the doctrine of salvation.
(a) JUSTIFICATION. -- legal status changed from guilty to not guilty. Being declared righteous in God's sight, or being viewed as fully meeting the divine requirements.
(b) ADOPTION.. one is restored to favour with God and given the opportunity to claim all the benefits provided by the father.
(c) REGENERATION..God imparts new spiritual life to us, "being born again".
(d) SANCTIFICATION..progressive alteration of the individual's spiritual condition; one actually becomes holier.
(e) GLORIFICATION..sanctification is completed in the life beyond death, when the spiritual nature of the believer will be perfected.
(f) PERSEVERANCE-- the individual's maintaining faith and commitment to the very end through the grace of God.
