How does Psanctuary’s scholarship process work?Psanctuary offers scholarships to make our minister programs more accessible while ensuring the sustainability of our offerings. For every four full-rate enrollments, we provide two scholarships at 50% off the program’s full cost. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to keep the process fair and efficient. This model allows us to support those with financial need while maintaining the collective contributions that sustain our community programs. Recipients have the opportunity to deepen their ministerial journey alongside a diverse group of peers, fostering connection, shared growth, and a thriving ministerial community.

How do different communion amounts affect the experience? When considering ministership, it’s essential to understand the different levels of sacrament dosage and their effects. These categories are based on dry grams of a typical strain of Psilocybe cubensis (e.g., Golden Teacher, Hawaiian, Mazatec). Microdose (0.10 – 0.50g) A subtle, often imperceptible effect. Sensory awareness may heighten, energy may increase, and creative thinking can be enhanced. Creative Dose (0.50 – 2.0g) Borderline manageable in public or social settings, though it can become overwhelming. This range is useful for artistic or introspective work but should not be underestimated. Explorer’s Dose (2.0 – 4.0g) Begins to cross into deeper introspection. Possible closed-eye visuals, emotional intensity, and early stages of ego dissolution may arise. Some may experience moments of surrender, but full transcendence is not guaranteed. Heroic Dose (4.0 – 6.0g) Coined by Terence McKenna, this level typically brings significant ego dissolution and deep personal exploration. However, mystical experiences vary, and emotional and physical discomfort can be intense. Breakthrough Dose (6.0g and above) This level often convinces the communicant they are dying, requiring extended support. Constant monitoring is necessary, but too much intervention can induce paranoia. A balance of subtle, distant support is critical. For a deeper understanding of dosage and facilitation, our MySelf and Friends & Family Minister programs provide extensive guidance.

Are there any cultivation support options available?Yes! We have a new partnership with Fungi Academy. We’ve partnered with Fungi Academy, a leader in sacred mushroom cultivation education, to offer Psanctuary ministers high-quality, on-demand learning at a discounted rate. This change comes as we navigate transitions in our internal cultivation education team. What’s included in the Fungi Academy course? For a one-time fee of $150 (normally $300), Psanctuary ministers receive: ✅ On-demand access to Sacred Mushroom Cultivation courses ✅ A deep dive into fungal ecology & mushroom integration in nature ✅ Psychedelic journey educational content ✅ Monthly live Q&A with Fungi Academy’s Jasper Dagnes ✅ 20% off grow kits, spores, and liquid cultures from Fungi Academy’s supplier list How do I enroll in this special offer? Visit Fungi Academy’s course page. Use the code provided in the MySelf Member program portal. Why the shift from our original cultivation education plan? This partnership provides greater value and long-term sustainability while allowing us to focus on supporting our community in other meaningful ways. What are the best practices for sacrament security and tracking? To protect both yourself and the community, follow proper diversion control practices which you'll learn about in the MySelf Minister program.

Can I charge money or accept donations for sacrament? No. Psanctuary upholds a no-cost exchange model to honor the sacred nature of the sacrament, align with our mission, and reduce legal risks. However, we encourage ministers to engage in reciprocal exchanges—offering unique skills or gifts as a token of appreciation. This practice reflects the traditions of indigenous practitioners, who often exchange offerings rather than accept monetary payment. For example, in Mazatec traditions, those seeking guidance from a curandera (healer) may offer food, handmade goods, or assistance with daily tasks in gratitude for the sacred medicine and teachings. By embracing this spirit of exchange, we strengthen community bonds and honor the wisdom of those who have carried these traditions for generations. Thank you for your commitment to this path. Through decentralized gifting and cultivation partnerships, we empower our community while fostering sustainability and sacred reciprocity.

How does legal protection work for ministers? Our top priority as an organization is to equip you with the knowledge and structures that provide maximum legal protection. While Psanctuary has established protocols to enhance this protection, it is ultimately each minister’s responsibility to adhere to these guidelines and ensure their own security. At first glance, some may assume Psanctuary exists as a loophole to circumvent legal prosecution. However, you already know that is not the case—otherwise, you wouldn’t be here. Anyone who attends a single Psanctuary service immediately recognizes the sincerity of our mission. Sincerity is key to legal protection under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). While no fixed standards define sincerity in religious practice, courts assess it from a broad perspective. Legal precedents show that active participation in a legitimate religious organization strengthens one’s case in demonstrating sincerity. Becoming a minister is one way to deepen your faith, practice, and commitment.
